1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

We use the information to fulfill your requests, provide the Service’s functionality, improve the Service’s quality, personalize your experience, track usage of the Service, provide feedback to third party businesses that are listed on the Service, market the Service, provide customer support, message you, back up our systems and allow for disaster recovery, enhance the security of the Service, and comply with legal obligations.

For example, we may retain information to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service or to comply with legal obligations.

5. CHILDREN

The Service is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us here. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account.

6. SECURITY

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or via a mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will govern our collection, use, and disclosure of information about you and will be located here. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will indicate on this page the date that revisions were last made. 8. Individual Rights

Food Handler Solutions, LLC is a certificate issuing organization and maintains information on those who possess its certificates or have expressed an interest in them. For those who do not maintain their certificate, Food Handler Solutions, LLC retains certificate records indefinitely.

9. Opt-In and Opt Out

Food Handler Solutions, LLC is an education provider and certificate issuing corporation and, as such, must maintain contact information on all inquiries to communicate pertinent transaction information.

Food Handler Solutions, LLC also sends promotional material promoting conferences, education opportunities, or other related offerings. From time to time, Food Handler Solutions, LLC collaborates with other organizations and companies to promote other education programs that may be of interest. In such cases, Food Handler Solutions, LLC does not provide these organizations with any mailing information or otherwise disclose any contact information but distributes the organization’s information on their behalf to those who have elected to receive such information.

We will always obtain your prior permission before sending you marketing communications. If, at any time, you do not wish to receive marketing material, every marketing e-mail will include an opt-out link at the bottom or you may notify Food Handler Solutions, LLC in writing at the address below. 10. Certificate Verification

Certificates can be verified by employers, attendees, and jurisdictions by contacting Food Handler Solutions LLC at www.FoodHandlerSolutions.com or by calling our Customer Care line at 1-888-455-6411 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST. Written requests for verification or documentation is provided, when appropriate, by Food Handler Solutions, LLC within 30 business days.

The website www.FoodHandlerSolutions.com contains links to other sites; Food Handler Solutions, LLC is not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties. Users should check the applicable privacy policy of such a party when providing personally identifiable information.
