“The Information was certainly more in depth from the food handling cards i have gotten in other states. But it can also be a grind. Thus, retaining the information was all well and good. Finding a way to have the material break that barrier would help with retention.”

“The course is complete and very well organized, however,I found it nerve wracking! Just kidding, but since I have been out of school a good many years it was a tad nerve breaking to take your course and test for fear I’d fail! No worries though. I scored an 85 ! I think perhaps I took the entire process more seriously than younger participants. ( I’’m 76 years old and needed my Certificate to volunteer)”

“It was a smooth experience that gave great options for the exam. The questions were different if you did a redo of your exam, which I liked a lot. Overall I would recommend and will use the same website/company for my renewal in 2027.”

  • Lincoln and Lancaster Counties require that all food workers have food safety training before handling food served to the public.
  • Food workers must take a food safety training class and pass an ANAB accredited certificate program that is approved by the Lincoln – Lancaster County Health Departments.
  • Upon presentation of the ANAB accredited certificate food handlers are issued a ANAB-Accredited Food Handler Certificate.
  • Check with local health department to determine where to obtain approved food worker training, test, and card.
  • Food service workers are required to obtain a food handler card within 30 days of beginning work.
  • Food handler cards issued in other states are not valid in Lincoln – Lancaster County.
